Family Support
H.O.P.E. provides support for families and it can take place within your own home, at the HOPE family Centre or anywhere your family feel most comfortable meeting.
Support for families often occurs naturally through family, friends and the community, however, there may be times when families need extra help, e.g. moving into the area away from own support networks, ill health of a parent, or a child with special needs.
Here at H.O.P.E. we work alongside and in partnership with local families, practitioners and organisations offering support in order to enable families to manage family life with more confidence, recognise and respond more positively to the needs of their children. We do this by providing information, hands on support and practical advice about child development issues. The aim of providing support is to enable families to enjoy their children and family life.
Some of the areas we can support you with:
- Child development and welfare
- Home management
- Information on other services and professionals
- Parenting skills
- A disability in the family
- Social isolation
- Difficult family situations or crises
- Or just someone to talk to!!
